With the help of generous donors, sponsors, and participants, Aiming for a Cure has successfully raised over $190,000 in three years for Children's Hospital of Iowa through Children's Miracle Network with a specific gift designations to:

Research- we support researchers at the University of Iowa that are investigating new and better ways of treating cancer in children.

Patient Care- we provide support for children undergoing treatment at the Children's Hospital of Iowa for testing when insurance coverage is not adequate to cover costs and for new equipment and furnishings in patient rooms.

Families of children undergoing cancer treatment- we provide a stipend to each family having a child that is having bone marrow transplant to be used for unreimbursed expenses, families with a child with cancer that demonstrate great financial need, gas cards that are used by families that need to bring a child frequently to clinic for treatment or follow up

$5,000 is allocated each year to a selected cancer patient & family to purchase items for pediatric oncology treatment areas in a monitored shopping spree.
