Highland Softball Raises Money for Cancer Patients

Home  /  Events  /  Current Page

The Highland girls softball team sponsored their first-ever cancer fundraising event this season. The team kicked the fundraiser off with a car wash, and then hosted a “cancer game” against WACO on June 21. Events at the cancer game included a silent auction, kid’s games, and a raffle. One-hundred percent of the proceeds were donated to the Aiming for a Cure Foundation – a local organization whose mission is to raise funds to benefit pediatric oncology patients and families served by the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. Below the team presents Ryan Giannini of the Aiming for a Cure Foundation with a check for $3,164.66.
